The Alternative Program is designed for students with discipline problems. Students who violate rules spelled out in the District’s Code of Conduct and Discipline may be placed in the In-School Suspension Program for durations as determined by the principal.
Students who have (4) suspensions or who have committed serious violations will be expelled after a hearing with the superintendent of schools or the supervisor of child welfare. Students in grades K-5 are placed according to the superintendent’s or designee’s discretion in drug related cases. Students must meet promotion criteria outlined in Section (2) of the Pupil Progression Plan.
All other components and rules pertaining to the Alternative Program are detailed in the Alternative Program/In School Suspension Handbook, which can be obtained from the Central Office. The Alternative Program is housed on the McCall Jr. High School Campus.
